Kathy (Wingo) Daniels ‘70 - Drury Trustee

Kathy Daniels attended Drury for three years, majoring in elementary education, before transferring to Tulsa University where she graduated. While here, she made some lifelong friends and had some great experiences that set her up for a successful life.

Kathy and her husband Lee, have traveled the world. Their travels have taken them to Europe, South Africa, Central and South America. They have been able to experience the cultures of the world and wanted to bring it to Drury by providing a scholarship to an international student. Kathy says that, "It is important for all students to see and experience the culture of others... I have been blessed with opportunities and friends from Drury. This is a way to give back from what all has been given to me."

After graduating from college, Kathy started her own private school for boys and girls from preschool through fifth grade. Applying what she experienced as a business owner, she now volunteers at her local hospital, the University of Colorado with the Pi Beta Phi sorority and is involved with the Junior League of Denver.

Kathy is has been on the Board of Trustees for almost three years and loves it. Her favorite part is how she has a chance to see Drury change from the time she left to her current visits to campus.
